Create Account allows you to securely sign-up for a PayPal account from QNB Internet Banking. PayPal will use your credit/debit card details provided by QNB to create your account. You can immediately start using it to shop online. If you already have an account, you need to link your QNB debit/credit card to your existing account via the PayPal website.

Click on Create Account, choose the credit/debit card you wish to attach to your PayPal account, you can choose one card or more to link to your account. Create a password on the mini-browser page and accept the User Agreement and Privacy Policy. An email will then be sent by PayPal confirming the creation of your account.

You need to click on “Create Password & agree to User Agreement” to finalize the process. If you do not, your PayPal account will be created, but you won’t be able to use it. In this case, PayPal will send you a reminder email explaining how to finalize the process on.

Opening your account via QNB Internet Banking is easier, faster and more convenient to get started with PayPal. Since you are operating from a secure QNB online environment, PayPal will trust your account and lift restrictions usually applied to new accounts.

You cannot change the information that QNB sends to PayPal to create the account. However, you can log in to your newly created account on www.paypal.com/qa and then change your details there.

If you already created a PayPal account on QNB Internet Banking, the Create Account service will be shaded and you will not be able to use it anymore. If you wish to create another PayPal account, you can go to www.paypal.com/qa.

Yes, to close your PayPal account, you need to log into your PayPal account on  www.paypal.com/qa, go to Account > Profile > My Settings > Close Account.

The Top-up service allows you to transfer funds (top-up) instantly from your QNB account into your PayPal account. You can top-up up to equivalent of QR10,000 daily in USD. The money will be immediately credited to your PayPal account.

Once you create your PayPal account on QNB Internet Banking, simply select the amount you wish to top-up your PayPal account with and confirm the payment. The money appears instantly in your PayPal account and you will receive an email letting you know that the money is available.

You can top-up for an already created PayPal account provided the email ID in your QNB profile is the same as your PayPal account email address. Please note that PayPal allows top-up for PayPal accounts created in Qatar. In case your PayPal account is created abroad you would need to open a new PayPal account in order to use the Top-up service.

If the email registered on QNB is not your PayPal account email address, you can attach the QNB registered email address to your existing PayPal account by logging in to PayPal > My Account > Profile > Add/Edit Email. You can also change your QNB registered email address.

You can create a PayPal account on QNB Internet Banking. If you did a top-up to your email address without having a PayPal account, you can sign up for an account using this email address and claim the money once the PayPal account is created.

Top-up is free of charge. Money is debited in QR from your bank account and credited in USD to your PayPal account.

If you have successfully performed a top-up transaction to your PayPal account and the amount is not yet credited to the account you can recall the transaction in Transaction History. If the amount is already credited to the account you cannot cancel the payment.

As PayPal does not support top-ups in Qatari Riyals this service is only available in USD.

Your PayPal account balance and transaction history can be tracked by logging onto your PayPal account at www.paypal.com/qa.

Powered by PayPal, the Send Money service is the fastest way to securely send money via your email address. You can send up to QR 10,000 daily, debited from your bank account and instantly available to your recipient.

Simply add a new beneficiary by entering their name and email ID of the beneficiary, activate the new beneficiary, choose the bank account you wish to use to fund the payment, enter the amount and write a short message to your recipient (optional). Once confirmed, an email is instantly sent to your recipient letting them know that the money is available.

Your recipient logs in to PayPal or signs up for a PayPal account to retrieve the payment.
Please note that PayPal allows receiving funds only for PayPal accounts created in selected countries. If your beneficiary’s PayPal account is created in a country that is not enabled to receive funds, then you will not be able to use send money feature for the respective beneficiary.

There are no fees associated with a Savings Plus AccountNo. You do not need a PayPal account to send money through QNB Internet Banking.

Enter the beneficiary’s correct email address and funds will immediately be transferred to their account. If you type an incorrect email address, payment could be cancelled/recalled from Transaction History as long as amount is not successfully credited to the entered email address. Once payment is claimed, it cannot be cancelled or recalled. At that point, you would need to contact the person who claimed payment to request a refund via PayPal.

The recipient does not need to be a QNB customer or live in Qatar and are not required to have a PayPal account to receive payment (but will need to create one to claim the funds).

The funds appear in the recipient’s PayPal account immediately.

If a Send Money payment has not been claimed, you have the option to recall the transaction in Transaction History. If you successfully recall a transaction, the recipient will not receive the funds on their PayPal account. If you send money to a PayPal account, the funds will be claimed immediately and you will not be able to cancel the payment.

If payment is delivered or claimed, the recipient can refund payment within 60 days of the payment date from their PayPal account. Payments can only be refunded in full.

If the recipient’s email address is not associated with a PayPal account and the recipient does not link it to an existing PayPal account or open a new PayPal account within 30 days, PayPal will return the unclaimed payment to your QNB account.

You can track all Send Money transactions in the Transaction History. If a transaction is not claimed by the recipient (e.g. if the recipient does not have a PayPal account), you can recall the transaction and the amount will be credited back to your QNB account.

Each Send Money payment costs QR15. The recipient will not pay any fee upon claiming the funds. Conversion fees may apply if the user decides to convert the money in another currency. Send Money payments are in USD only.

Currently the service only supports U.S. Dollar.

Transaction History allows you to track all Send Money and top-up transactions. You can filter transaction history to view the last 10 transactions, current month’s transactions or transactions for a specific period.

Claimed: This is the most common. Recipient has a PayPal account, the money goes into the recipient’s PayPal account without any action from you.

Pending: If the recipient doesn’t have a PayPal account or the email used is not linked to a PayPal account, or if the recipient has a setting in the account that requires a manual accept/deny for the payment.

Recalled: If the payment was originally Pending but you don’t want to wait any longer and you take action to get it back, the Pending payment status then becomes Recalled or the fund is not claimed within 30 days and returned to you or PayPal initiated a return of the payment due to suspicious account activity on the recipient’s account.

Refunded: If payment went into Completed status but recipient takes action to issue a refund, the money goes back to your QNB account.

You can transfer funds after setting up the PayPal Withdrawal service which allows you to link your PayPal account to your QNB account.

Withdrawal is only from one account at a given time. You can remove the account whenever is required and set up another account at any time.
