Supporting Local Talents

As a global bank, QNB provides opportunities across numerous countries. As a priority, QNB aims to recruit experienced professionals from the local job market or by liaising with academic institutions. Our primary focus is on the development of Qatari nationals across our network.

Qatarisation

The Bank's five-year strategic plan includes meeting the target percentage of Qatari employees to be recruited and retained in every department. QNB's career development programmes are designed to attract and retain national talents by providing comprehensive training and development with progression to positions of responsibility and senior job grades. QNB's Qatarisation drive has proven to be very effective and has exceeded 50% of the total workforce, with plans to increase it further.

In 2011, QNB launched the "Ambassador Programme" within the framework of the Talent Management and Qatari Leadership Development agenda. The aim of the programme is to give high-potential Qatari employees exposure to the international banking environment so that they can develop "best international practice" leadership competencies and skills. All programme participants are seconded to QNB international branches for a period of 12-24 months. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will return to QNB Qatar and assume leadership positions as per the agreed Executive Development Plan (EDP).
