QNB receives the CEOs for Gender Equality award from the 50 Most Influential Women's Forum

In recognition of the bank great efforts in achieving gender equality, and its strategy to empower women economically and socially by providing all means of support to enhance their role in society, the Fifty Most Influential Women Forum granted the CEO Gender Equality Award to QNB .

The award was received by Mr. Mohamed Bedeir, QNB Chief Executive Officer, from Ms. Dina Abdel Fattah, Founder and Chairman of the Fifty Most Influential Women Forum. 
The award comes in recognition of the Bank's success in supporting and empowering women, as the Bank has been keen over the past years to adopt a program that promotes gender equality and ensures diversity and inclusion within the Bank, as the percentage of female representation in QNB represents about 40% varies among all job levels in the Bank, in addition to the fact that the Bank's Board of Directors includes two women in its membership. Women are a key factor in the strength, skill, and professionalism of the Bank, as they occupy many leadership positions in various departments and as heads of important sectors of the Bank, and QNB takes into consideration a number of principles that facilitate the difficulties that women may face in their work in order to create the appropriate environment for them to reach the highest rungs of the career ladder based on equal opportunities.

It is worth noting that QNB has signed a number of agreements with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union, with the aim of benefiting from their experiences in empowering women and enhancing their role in the business community, and the bank has prepared a plan and strategy based on various axes, aimed at supporting women and entrepreneurs to increase financial empowerment nationwide, which confirms that the bank pursues a policy to support the role of women in all fields.

The summit, which was held last March, witnessed the honoring of several leaders of Egyptian companies with the "CEO Awards for Gender Equality. The Path to Transformation to a New Model of Equality", in recognition of their significant role in committing to transforming the business and professional environment towards an inclusive leadership culture of gender equality.
The summit was attended by many ministers, officials, policy makers, and senior executive leaders of companies and institutions, in addition to the participation of more than 300 women representing many professional sectors such as the financial, economic, sports, artistic, cultural, educational, media and entrepreneurship sectors, in addition to several Egyptian university students from all governorates of the Republic.
